Here we go again and it's all hands to the deck especially for this cook off. Where does the time go from one month to the next? We announced this one five weeks ago and here came the 14th. The lovely Natasha looking super sexy today in that wee dress was trying to blow the many balloons needed to tell San Pedro we were partying again at Lime.
Thanks goodness for our great team as when we were going to be short some dishes our girls came up trumps and all put in a dish (except for me of course as we all know about my cooking)!
The lovely Ann is helping out at Portofino while Jan and Sandra are away and she brought in their entry.
This smiler delivered Sunset Grill's.
Are we blessed or what? They are still smiling and happy even in the heat of our wee kitchen. Karen gets on with it whatever the temperature and the lovely Milly helps wherever needed and Lucy well what can we say about that little tinker!
I am sorry for the following pictures as they are sure to make you drool and believe me they not only looked good but tasted delicious too.
Some traditional favorites as in deviled eggs and then more Belizien dishes which included plantain.
These are our new special that we serve at Lime on Tuesday evenings and they are called Flautas which are fried tortillas and they are so good!
All lined up and very nearly ready to be eaten just a dish or two more and some photos before it all disappears!

Lime's slyder's which were a hit and a very good friend of our came to the rescue with convenience store nachos. This was to help us out when they heard we had been let down by a few people and I was stressing. You know who you are and I thank you very much.
Lovely to be surrounded by good people that always come out to support the cause especially when it's the Saga Humane Society.

Christine of Sunrise Reality came with her beautiful daughters who look to be taller than mom!
Lori happy to be back in Belize after her extended trip to the UK to see her new nephew.
This lovely lady is the queen of cook offs and promised to be in the next one which would be great as she is a fantastic cook.
Rodrigo got a new hat and is very proud of it, looks good too but don't tell him.

Lovely family, big animal lovers who plan to come back each and every year to hang out with us.
It didn't take long for the dishes to start to empty and people to think about a winner.
Crazy strange boy in that hat again! Check out the big screen in time for the football season, oh what joy! Shame I will miss 3 weeks of it eh!
The bar was hopping too, it was a great atmosphere all round as it's the weekend everyone got some good food and hung out with good people!

You know how it goes as in a house party everyone congregates in the kitchen at Lime Bar and Grill they hang out outside.
This family were very dissapointed to have to go and eat somewhere else as they came at 7.30pm and the food was nearly all gone. Note for all for the future these events start at 6pm so come early to avoid missign out.
Time to count the votes and for me to taste the dishes which luckily I grabbed at the beginning and hid in a to go container. Thanks to Beth for helping with this task.
Poor Christine was actually trying to hear the person on the other end of the phone with a full bar and sitting next to the dolcid tones of JD and Marie!
Who put me in charge? Oh yes me of course! The Ipod goes to? Tanya from Wild Mangoes who did the Filo pastry filled with Chicken and lots of other scrummy things!
Second and third place go to? Second was Portofino's Fish Ceviche and third was Canadian Sharon for her cheesey dip thingy.
This lovely family won the raffle and a lunch up at Belizien Shores.
How many M and M's were in the palm tree? 530, and I knwo cause I counted them all one by one and the winner was Dino.
Not sure what I was doing here but bossing someone or something no doubt!
I thought this was a funny picture with Richard in the foreground and some big guy on the screen in the backround.
There were free jello shots which if they had a letter on the bottom gave you a free shot of Jager or Tequilla so here goes this brave boy with a Jager.
Tanya came by after work to claim her Ipod shuffle. This was given to us by the lovely Hassmann family from Kentucky to use for our fundraising, so a huge thanks to them along with all the great people that supported this event. We raised $735.00bz on the food and $137.00 on the M and M's which were given by Racquel Phillips my good friend from Chicago.
The next fundraising cook off is to be Friday 25th of September and will be Tradiotional Belizien dishes which ties in out Belize Independance day so be there as you all know it aint happening unless it's happening in Lime.

Day off in paradise and it started on the right foot as can be seen by these pictures, who doesn't like a sunrise however many times we see them each one is different.
The dogs were very happy that our household was all up by 5am and on the go soon after, would they ever say no to a walk? Only when it is chucking it down!
My very good friend Christine and hairdresser just came back last week for an extended stay. She is going to look after the wee ones while I go away so has been coming out for a few walks to get the lie of the land and to suss out which dogs Lisbon has issues with!
We started off at Perla Escondida where my parents stayed earlier in the year which makes me think of them each and every day.

Bless her like I said this morning if you go out with 2 dogs in the morning and come home with 1 that is 50% which isn't too shabby and I do it all the time but luckily Lisbon trots into Lime for a treat!
Lisbon was like take a shot of my arse Christine as that is what you are going to see a lot of walking into the distance-he he!
All good so far but we have only been about five minutes.
It was a stunning morning until my camera gave up on me and needs re-charging, bit like me right now wish I had could plug myself in and keep going!
Time to get Searious and make the most of this day, the sun is up the dogs are walked and I need lots of tea to go about my day have a great one and TTFN.
Some of the best professional and amateur chefs in San Pedro will go head to head again for one of the most popular events on the island. The fundraising cook offs held at Lime Bar and Grill always attract a great crowd, not only because the food is fantastic, not only because you can try all of the entries for only $10, not only because the girls at Lime know how to throw a party and make everyone feel welcome but because all of the funds raised go to support SAGA Humane Society to help the abandoned, unwanted and cruelly treated animals of San Pedro.. This event will be extra special because everyone who participates by paying the $10 tasters entry fee will receive free shots - including Jager for the brave. You are advised to get there early. Sunday 2nd August we tried to hold the Saga Yard Sale after postponing it at the last minute the weekend before.
Phil and Marie of Gecko Graphics, trying to locate the best place for them as she needs electric for her heavenly smoothies, however no-one told us for the second week in a row that there would be no power!
We have tents so far but no tables yet! Bless the council guys as they have to come out on a Sunday and set us up but their truck broke down!
Eli from Bottom Time was organizing things from her stall in the park bless her always on the go.
Wade always willing to help, he was moved spots about 4 or 5 times and never moaned once!
Our top guys were chasing up the tables as time was a ticking.
We need tables NOW!
My first purchase of the day was from this man who bought a stereo from me, very cool, may be the only one looking at that grey sky.
Matt was our hero as with him he brought a generator which Marie needed desperately, top guy and smiling so early on a Sunday morning.
Saga came along with some adorable kittens that were all adopted on the day, good job!
Laurie our resident vets dog Jambel always one to be seen at these events.
TP did tarot readings which were very good, she can be booked through us at Lime.
Marie was up and running with her generator pumping away in the background.
Phil had lit the barbe and had the beers on ice ready to feed the thirsty crowd, where are they all?
Ummm well this is why they postponed us last week as there was to be live wires hanging around the place and what about this week? Same all over again, only in Belize which is why we all love it so much eh?
Marie always has a very busy stand once she gets going, her only day off and we have her in the park making money for the furry ones!
Beth, another regular helper at all our events and still smiling even though she would love to be sat somewhere with a Lighthouse!

Gwen was a super trooper on the door collecting people's one dollar to come in which is novel but we raise a lot of money doing so and give them a free raffle ticket with their entry fee.

Also in the pool with a couple of well deserved beers, it wasn't our best event to date but we made $815.00bz for Saga so it all counts and hell what else is there to do in paradise on a Sunday?
Thanks to all the followers out there that generously donate time, energy and money to San Pedro's Humane Society. We are nearly ready to build our isolation unit and continue on our mission of helping the animals of San pedro one step at a time, cheers and TTFN.
Lime has been pretty busy which a birthday or two thrown in to keep us on our toes.
I have a Saga fundraiser today which is a Yard Sale in Central Park on front street so fingers crossed for good weather and a good turnout.
I am heading to Europe in a couple of weeks if I ever get around to booking a flight so there should be some great posts coming out of that!

Second was Portofino's Fish Ceviche and third was Canadian Sharon for her cheesey dip thingy.This lovely family won the raffle and a lunch up at Belizien Shores.How many M and M's were in the palm tree? 530, and I knwo cause I counted them all one by one and the winner was Dino.Not sure what I was doing here but bossing someone or something no doubt!I thought this was a funny picture with Richard in the foreground and some big guy on the screen in the backround.There were free jello shots which if they had a letter on the bottom gave you a free shot of Jager or Tequilla so here goes this brave boy with a Jager.Tanya came by after work to claim her Ipod shuffle. This was given to us by the lovely Hassmann family from Kentucky to use for our fundraising, so a huge thanks to them along with all the great people that supported this event. We raised $735.00bz on the food and $137.00 on the M and M's which were given by Racquel Phillips my good friend from Chicago.The next fundraising cook off is to be Friday 25th of September and will be Tradiotional Belizien dishes which ties in out Belize Independance day so be there as you all know it aint happening unless it's happening in Lime.Good morning San Pedro

Day off in paradise and it started on the right foot as can be seen by these pictures, who doesn't like a sunrise however many times we see them each one is different.
The dogs were very happy that our household was all up by 5am and on the go soon after, would they ever say no to a walk? Only when it is chucking it down!
My very good friend Christine and hairdresser just came back last week for an extended stay. She is going to look after the wee ones while I go away so has been coming out for a few walks to get the lie of the land and to suss out which dogs Lisbon has issues with!
We started off at Perla Escondida where my parents stayed earlier in the year which makes me think of them each and every day.

Christine was also taking a lot of shots but trying to keep an eye on trouble at the same time.
Christine was taking many shots of the girls ready for the lost and found posters she may have to make over the next couple of weeks! Bless her like I said this morning if you go out with 2 dogs in the morning and come home with 1 that is 50% which isn't too shabby and I do it all the time but luckily Lisbon trots into Lime for a treat!
Lisbon was like take a shot of my arse Christine as that is what you are going to see a lot of walking into the distance-he he!
All good so far but we have only been about five minutes.
It was a stunning morning until my camera gave up on me and needs re-charging, bit like me right now wish I had could plug myself in and keep going!
Time to get Searious and make the most of this day, the sun is up the dogs are walked and I need lots of tea to go about my day have a great one and TTFN.Thanks to friends and facebook!

Sunday 2nd August we tried to hold the Saga Yard Sale after postponing it at the last minute the weekend before.
Phil and Marie of Gecko Graphics, trying to locate the best place for them as she needs electric for her heavenly smoothies, however no-one told us for the second week in a row that there would be no power!
We have tents so far but no tables yet! Bless the council guys as they have to come out on a Sunday and set us up but their truck broke down!
Eli from Bottom Time was organizing things from her stall in the park bless her always on the go.
Wade always willing to help, he was moved spots about 4 or 5 times and never moaned once!
Our top guys were chasing up the tables as time was a ticking.
We need tables NOW!
My first purchase of the day was from this man who bought a stereo from me, very cool, may be the only one looking at that grey sky.
Matt was our hero as with him he brought a generator which Marie needed desperately, top guy and smiling so early on a Sunday morning.
Saga came along with some adorable kittens that were all adopted on the day, good job!
Laurie our resident vets dog Jambel always one to be seen at these events.
TP did tarot readings which were very good, she can be booked through us at Lime.
Marie was up and running with her generator pumping away in the background.
Phil had lit the barbe and had the beers on ice ready to feed the thirsty crowd, where are they all?
Ummm well this is why they postponed us last week as there was to be live wires hanging around the place and what about this week? Same all over again, only in Belize which is why we all love it so much eh?
Marie always has a very busy stand once she gets going, her only day off and we have her in the park making money for the furry ones!
Beth, another regular helper at all our events and still smiling even though she would love to be sat somewhere with a Lighthouse!
Wade one happy camper as always, can't think what or who would faze this man one little bit.
Gwen was a super trooper on the door collecting people's one dollar to come in which is novel but we raise a lot of money doing so and give them a free raffle ticket with their entry fee.
These ladies were from BC and selling new clothes when they weren't on the phone!

Tyler from Sweet Basil (which is soon to have a face lift and be called something else) had a stall of some of Legend's stuff that he had outgrown, cool hat eh!
We had a bit of a crowd at one point and got all excited but then the heavens opened.
Jewels my good friend, Tyler's wife and Legend's mom and an all round great person to have!
Sell one drink one, time out for our boys!
Jo and her lovely daughter Naomi who is a wee cutie.
Time to pack up the Saga stand, well done gang a good result with animals adopted, t-shirts bought and donations given cheers one and all.
Beth was finding out what was to be in store for her.
What do you do with the stuff that didn't sell and you don't want to take it home? You put in in front of Central Park and tell people to help themselves!

But man can he flip a burger or two! Thanks to Grant for a great barbe which was light as a feather, we missed him but he was here in spirit, well beer!
Yes that would be my Lisbon who came wandering into Central park which I couldn't work out how till I got home and found a bloody great hole under the fence!
Time for the famous raffle, grabbed a couple of great animal lovers to do this important job.
There were 3 to draw for.
This little lovely is such a girl after my own heart, check her out eating Marie's decadent chocolate and peanut butter squares.
I looked just like her but am the one with the camera! Maybe made slightly less mess also.
We were all packed up and headed home after dropping off some stuff at Lime.
Time for some R and R in the hammock.
Also in the pool with a couple of well deserved beers, it wasn't our best event to date but we made $815.00bz for Saga so it all counts and hell what else is there to do in paradise on a Sunday?Thanks to all the followers out there that generously donate time, energy and money to San Pedro's Humane Society. We are nearly ready to build our isolation unit and continue on our mission of helping the animals of San pedro one step at a time, cheers and TTFN.

I have had such a busy week, just for a change and apologise for the lack of blogging and will catch up very soon.Lime has been pretty busy which a birthday or two thrown in to keep us on our toes.
I have a Saga fundraiser today which is a Yard Sale in Central Park on front street so fingers crossed for good weather and a good turnout.
I am heading to Europe in a couple of weeks if I ever get around to booking a flight so there should be some great posts coming out of that!
