I said there would be plenty of photos from our trip to Belmopan and here we go with our birthday ones while we are on that theme. Karen's birthday is the day before mine so we had reason to celebrate hers too.

She has fantastic staff at the dome who are like family to her and they took great pleasure in making her a lovely cake with a few candles on it.

David is her number two and a very handy man to have around especially when there are some
additional animals other than the dogs around!

Two buddies driven together by the jungle and their similar plights!

A corner piece for me! It was good cake made all the better knowing it was made with love!

The next morning it was my turn and I was greeted by
Karen with tea and cake which was a great start to the day.
A shout out goes to Karen's mum in Canada who follows my blog now that Karen has gone over to
face book so please know that your daughter is great and it was lovely to spend our birthdays together, love to you and Raine.

So I had stayed away from Lime for a few days as I had been to Belmopan, pictures of that adventure to follow, anyhow was told to be at Lime for 6pm on June 26
th so here I am!

Not sure who or what that face was about but obviously something tickled me.

Hugs and kisses all round for my good buddies

The beautiful Natasha inside and out bless her, the girls had all been very busy sprucing this place up somewhat!

Check out that
fabbo banner courtesy of Gecko Graphics once again, even got a cute picture of me on it! He he
Ok so what was all the fuss about? You really had to be there as these pictures do it no justice at all.

We really can't believe what we are seeing and hearing as it was all staged with music to boot.

Yes it is the one and only JD in a kinda drag set up, he came out to Queen music and was on stage for sure.

So he was first up for the night with his original cocktail, let's see what he comes up with!

It had bubbly in it which is a good start

More seemed to go on the counter top that anywhere else but what the heck.

Some juice was sloshed in there too

And the secret ingredient which one could have guessed in a heartbeat was of course
Yeagar!

My very good friend and fantastic creator of such things as above Marie of Gecko Graphics.

Of course it wouldn't be a birthday without cake and as I kept going next door they thought it best to get it out sooner than later. What a great job the girls at Lime had done on it and it tasted good too!

Go on girl we all know you have a lot more puff in you than that!

Happy birthday to
meeeeeeeeeeee
Cassidy really had a job on her hands tonight with JD behind the bar but she kept her cool and her smile in place.

We all got to try
JD's entry and needless to say it got 10/10 for effort but not for flavor, next!

It wouldn't be a night out without JD proving how much weight he has lost and how much slimmer his tummy is now. Without that belt his trousers would be around his ankles!

Wow we can serve beer as well as drink it, how proud of himself is he right now?

Luckily he had Tracey to hand to help out as well, for someone who never wanted to do bar she did a
stella job tonight-cheers buddy!

Time for some normal glamour in these pictures,
Racquel and Collette and myself all with hair and make-up for a change.

Yes we got some sun in the jungle

I think I was doing another shot, one of many
through out the night.

Ok there goes that party trick of
JD's, he breathes in and loses his shorts now that he is nearly 30lbs lighter!

Not sure what that face is all about but was just given some more cake, well a fruit tart from the new restaurant
Pinochio's,
ummm and lovely it was too.

Next up was Phil who named his cocktail How the bloody hell do you follow that! Well his tasted much better than the first one and the bar was much cleaner too.

We wind each other up constantly but secretly really like Mr Phil, but no need to tell him!

He will kill me for this shot but what the hell it's my blog and I spend hours doing it so tough!

Craig is up next and is all like bring it on matey!

The two bloggers taking photos of each other, bet she gets her pictures up before I do as I will have the mother of hangovers tomorrow unlike Tacogirl!

Collette and Balloons and a party, need I say more!

Looking good so far, nice colour nice glasses now what about the taste?

Two very special people in my life Jimjam and Jamilla, squeeze me tight guys makes me look slimmer, good trick of the camera eh!

This was a naughty little present from Helda from her new place of work, yes a sex shop by all accounts! It was a rather rude camera which we all had fun with.

Tracey had just been shown it before this picture was taken.

Craig got the girls going behind the bar tonight for sure, maybe he should be around every Friday.

Looking like a winner so far, well I am easy as it had my peach vodka in it so was very happy.

Is that dog winking at me?

Next up was Robbie what was very organised with his cooler box of tricks!

Neil thought he was in with a new bird and then saw that it was JD, he he!

Just a few of my friends and regulars in the bar tonight you think? Minus Mark and Michelle whom we miss very much so hey guys sorry you are not here esp to take photos!

Robbie is in the house!

Ummm what a mix, chocolate and vodka, I am in heaven!

Don't even go there! How she got away with that with her wee G-string non of us know!

Not to be left out Helda added to her ample bossoms and gave Collette a run for her money.

Enough already you two, see Beth cracking up also.

Robbie's stint was over now onto Grant and whatever concoction he has come up with.

Cheers Tracey, so good to have you back safe and sound and even more for covering for me tomorrow! Luv her.

It's green and mean and I loved it

Well it is my birthday!

There goes that crazy man again that took a whole post of that pose, he should stop drinking the green stuff!

Ut oh here are the real party animals of San Pedro.

Time for a quick boogie

Some of my dream team, bless them they are just the best of a crazy bunch.

Wondered where he had gotten to, someone remove that Lighthouse before it's too late.

Better late than never, my great girlfriend Ruth and her hubby Graham whom I just caught up with as it was getting late and I had had my fair share of cocktails!

Love this man to pieces, no worries mum and dad you know that I am in safe hands with Jimjam around!

There were balloons everywhere, Lime was the place to be tonight for sure!

So the winner of the cocktail for tonight is?

How can we pick one from the other?

You were all great and are all the best in my book so there was no individual winner they were all great! God knows how we will top this night next year but we have some time to work on that. Cheers to everyone that made it a super evening and a cracking hangover the next day.

As always at times like this it is sad to be away from immediate family however when you look at the people we hang around with this is a close second, here's to my family in Belize lol.

Due to a fun filled week of birthdays going to the mainland and having my good friend
Racquel here to stay there has been a serious lack of blogging of which I am very sorry.
Needless to say there will be lots to post next week when things quiet down a bit and about 600 photos to work my way through.
However please know friends and family that all is
ok with me the dogs and all the great people around me in San Pedro cheers for now.

Here we have
Jamilla rushing to get her entry dish to us in time to start the tasting at 6pm.

12 very different dishes were all lined up, from chicken to pork to beef to shrimp.

Do these pictures make you want to eat it all over again or what? Yes please as they were fabulous.

An excellent turn out, more then 70 people came and joined in the evenings activities.

Laurie our resident time vet came along with some of the incredibly hard working staff at Saga Humane Society.

People were everywhere going back and forward to really get a good sample of each dish.

Some of the Brit pack who pride themselves on knowing a good curry or two.

Collete was most impressed with the variety from the meats to the flavors, she gave it a huge thumbs up.

Michelle was also very happy with her ten dollar dinner!

The winner is? Mrs
Jamilla Janmohamed (well for goodness sake she is of Indian descent!)

Jo just loves that mega phone

She won a lovely hamper which had an
Ipod shuffle in it so now she can work out to music and drown
Jimjam out!

Second was Marie our good friend and owner of Gecko Graphics, who won a large bottle of wine and a dog lead with collar.

A very close third was Maureen
Dalgarno, wife of JD and our weekly special cook at Lime.

We gave everyone a free raffle ticket for tasting the curry and the prize was a bottle of Tequila which Laurie our vet pulled the ticket for.

This was such a great shot that I just had post it, Marie pretending to be drinking and her partner Phil behind with a beer.

This is the Royal Palm gang being silly as usual.

Tracey is glad to be back as are we to have her, you may now see some pictures on this blog away from Lime.

Anyone would think that these lot were great friends.

The two people on the right are the owners of
Portofino who have promised to be in the next cook off as I hear Sandra is a very good cook.

Jules stopped by to support us once again, one great guy.

The lovely Natasha on the left and our cook Karen on the right who made a curry from Lime and one of her own which were great and would have won had she made a larger dish.

One happy gang during a great night.

The cook off was between 6pm and 8pm then once the votes were counted and prizes given out it was time to head next door and hang out in the bar.

Some familiar faces and some new ones in Lime, people love curry!

Time for some glamour

My favourite time of the night, someones birthday so time for cake.

We missed Jimjam's birthday as he was away in England so we made the cake do two rounds.

Someone else who likes cake, my good buddy Tracey. There were only 16 pieces to go round alot of people so I had to be selective in who got one!

That time of the night who is going to win the 50/50 this week?

Number 26 and the winner is Sharon!!! Yippeee the first time that I have won.

Don't they make a cute couple, Lucy our second chef and the very helpfull Wade who is great to have around especially at closing time when we have to put the shutters up!

Umm yes it was a late one this particular Friday evening but a very good one, we raised $730.00bz for Saga which is to go towards the $1000.00 needed for an A/C unit in the clinic. The bar was hopping all night with a great atmostphere so all in all a fantastic night thanks to the very good people in San Pedro.

Just a quick post as I have been told that I am slacking this week so here you go. Another lovely hot day in San Pedro which as usual starts with a walk with Michelle and
Japser. He is on the naughty lead as keeps wandering off after Lisbon and eating stuff that he shouldn't.

Nice shot I thought and a change of colour, me
second favorite which is blue!

Tired out dogs happy to be getting a ride home bless. All is good be it a bit warm right now ion sunny Belize but am not moaning really as we don't want the rain just yet! Cheers friends and family and others that follow the blog I hope you are all having as good a day as us! I am day off and about to cook a curry for the cook off tomorrow night in Lime so
ttfn.

We now have an Italian in San Pedro which just opened last week, so along we popped last night to see what it was all about.

Their pizza's are made in 30 seconds and the four cheese one that we tried was absolutely
Delicious.

A nice open bar area with plenty of room to sit and chill before or after the meal.

Some familiar faces were there also, as in Robbie and Helda and Isobella who were on dessert when we got there.

At the next table was Pedro having a birthday meal with Tony and the vet Laurie.

Ummm she may kill me for this one but had I to show my dinner dates for the evening which was Jamilla and Beth.

Grant stopped by our table to say hi as he was booking for tomorrow night for his wife's birthday treat.

No photos of the food this time as I was too busy eating it but have to say well worth a return visit epsecially for the dessert, cheers for now good people and have a great weekend TTFN.

Time to see some shots of my other favourite colour which would be blue of course! So here to tease you all is the beautiful sea that we get to look at each and every day, up the island we went to pick up a birthday girl to go for lunch!

As you can see it isn't a crazy busy day on our roads so it was easy to stop and start and take pictures.

Where is this taken? A
Belikin for the correct answer!

Our friends little hideaway out on her deck where she chills out in total peace and quiet.

Oh to be on that boat right now.

Here she is
Marilyn Marx whom we were celebrating a belated birthday as we managed to miss the real date so we elected her to have another one!

Check out that fabulous piece of Key Lime pie
compliments of Capricorn for the occasion.

Well we had to check out
their Coconut pie also so see if it was as good at the Key Lime.

The girls doing lunch as we do so well, don't you just love birthdays as they keep on coming year after year!

Luckily there was no fighting at there was plenty to go round for all four of us and we even left a small piece just to be polite of course.

back to the
Palapa Bar to drop off our wee parcel
Marilyn and have just one more cocktail as it would be rude not to and we were all still very full from a fantastic lunch at Capricorn.

A lovely afternoon spent in the company of some very good friends cheers M and here's
to many more in paradise!
