Having heard lots of good things about Red Ginger we were heading out for diner with Christine who is here this week and decided to try it out.

Another great shot of Beth how cool is that!

The colour scheme inside the
restuarant is just lovely, very warm but chic. You could almost be anywhere in the world as it is not on the beach but set back in the new resort the Phoenix.

Some familiar faces were waiting on us which was great.

We missed photographing the appetizers which we tried 3 different ones that were all great then we shared this main meal.

Of course we had room for dessert and again these were all fantastic, not only do they look great they tasted just oh so fine too.

Good enough to eat as well as very photogenic! This was a chocolate mouse thingy!

This was a key lime pie on a biscuit base which was sharp but again oh so fine.

This photo is for Rachel Hoke and her family in Michigan to show that I am a big
softie and let Jackie jump up on the sofa when we got home from red ginger.

I love that dog!

Quite like this one too, my devil Lisbon who is so much trouble but totally worth it, bit like me eh! TTFN

Is
Cassidy just adorable in this hat or what? For someone who doesn't like to smile in photos she took a great picture and was raring to go this Friday evening.

Another smiley lady and someone we don't see very often in
Lime, Laurie came by to have one of our Lime Castle burgers that we launched tonight.
Cassidy was feeling creative and someone has to try them so it might as well be me eh!

Ella is back out and about after here serious operation to her tendon which looks to have gone very well bless her! You know us all about the dogs as they are such a big part of our lives.

Charlie making the most of his last Friday night in Lime before heading back to
Branson next week.
Umm what can I say apart from JD being the cheeky monkey we all know him to be and still love him anyway!

It's Friday night, it's 8pm and it's 50/50 time. The guest of honour this week is Charlie so lets see who is the lucky number that he is about to pick out of the bag.

Who is it?
Yerh it's
Marie's turn this week finally, after been in it week after week.

Ella is happy about their win also as she just got Phil n Marie a small fortune for her leg op but as they both said worth every penny.

Not sure why Mr JD took it on himself to be behind the bar as I know he is no cocktail waitress and can't make anything other than a coffee and maybe pour a
Jager.

It looked and tasted better in person but these little guys were a total hit and free with a pail of ale on Friday nights or they can be ordered for 6
bz for 2 or 10
bz for 4, good deal or what?
Ok stint over behind the bar and time for night nights, cheers everyone for now.

Well it wouldn't be right not to have a dog in the post, so here is Rusty as Sharon &
Cassidy called him who was taken off the beach with a bad leg and headed to Saga Humane Society-cutie or what?

So what's so special about this particular Tuesday you may ask? We needed some footage for the last part of our promotional video about San Pedro and the two sides of
Lime and what we have to offer. It was hoped that we would have a good crowd in for our fish n chip night and it was spot on.

Sharon C which is not me as I am Sharon B made some great jello shots of all different origins that went down too well.

Some familiar faces and some old ones too, of course and I don't just mean the wrinkles!

One of the ladies that makes great
chili
The lovely Megan who was on face book live from the bar.

The other great
chili maker!

One more
Yeagar and there's not telling what I might do!!!

Here we go wait for it?

After his weight loss of 15lbs so far his shorts are constantly falling off him, this could be very embarrassing!

Yes you are see correctly there are people up on the bar

Getting down on it

Three ladies and the one and only JD who of course loves those odds.

A great shot of the lovely
Cassidy
Karen is not only hot in the kitchen but also turning the heat up in the bar.

An
impromptu show in Lime tonight for sure

What is that saying about old dogs and tricks, this hound is always up a spot of dancing with the women.

Karen our number two chef is a hot number all by herself

Our good friends Mark and Michelle who was seen up there also and holding up the Canadian end of being a good sport. The video will be out soon and up for grabs so stay tuned, cheers

Total shock has hit us all on our
beautiful island of San Pedro, what you may ask? Captain Ray as you all know him of 14 years previously at The Villas At Banyan Bay and now at Grand Colony Island Villas has just been laid off.
It is a very sad day for the visitors to the island that started their holiday with Captain Ray and ended it with him , we will keep you updated as to his whereabouts on this blog

It was actually
Helda's birthday yesterday and she has been celebrating all weekend and deserves to continue. Therefore luckily for me she still had a cheesecake that needed to be eaten so she came into Lime to share it with the lucky people around the bar.

Just a few candles as who cares about the numbers as we all know it's about the cake!

First slice to be cut and eaten by
Helda then the rest for me!

Robbie looking on and knowing that he will still lose weight can't wait for his piece, this high will powered Scott has lost about 20lbs in four weeks now so well done matey and keep it up!

Happy birthday buddy and here's to many more and mine next!!!! Well maybe not next but in June anyhow.

My favourite part dishing out the cake and finding the biggest bit for me!

Why am I laughing so much you may ask? Possibly because as we all know I am not the best cook in the world and I find it very funny that I am making a dish of chili as my entry into the cook off tonight. We need 10 entries and at this point I am not sure how many we have so mine may be needed to make up numbers.

These fabulous four are very good friends of mine from the past and kept popping into
Lime to see me and book some great tours. They fished yesterday and caught not only a lot of fish but the sun too.

This lovely couple brought in a fantastic dish for the contest and are super big dog lovers also like the rest of us.

Sharon B and Sharon C as we are getting known as, after a long Friday we are still smiling and ready to party!

The lovely Natasha who is a new addition to our team.

This young man was the first to buy a ticket and taste the chili's and of course got a thumbs up from us for wearing our colour! Not only was he cute but funny too, mum don't get excited he just saw his girlfriend off to the states a day ahead of him.

Check out the tablecloth still looking white!

Jo who was the whole reason for this event was outside recruiting people to come in and support the Saga Humane Society straight off the road with the loud speaker bless him.

Sharon C in a dress no less.
Cassidy was serving up the slime punch like a storm

A good crowd turned out to be our judges

Some familiar faces amongst the group

Jock who was gutted that he didn't know about this until it was too late as he boasts to make the best chili ever!

I still think Jo's was one of the best in there as it was a sneaky little number a bit like him really.

Prize time for the winners

Sharon C was the hands down overall winner with many of the votes

Goodness knows how but I came in second

These lovely ladies came in third so the women as always were all round winners!

Then there was the free raffle
Zac won these decadent
Cadbury's chocolates

My friend Rachel
Hoke from Michigan made a rum cake which I would say can compete with many bought ones.

Here she is happy to know that she is not only a great cook but can bake cakes along with the best of them. Cheers my friend see you again next year.

Here we go again, another cruise, another birthday however each one is totally different as we always have a different mix of people every time.
So here we are with the lovely Mark and Michelle from Canada who have been living here for four months now and this is their one.
It was a surprise
pre birthday for Mark's 40
th so happy birthday to you big boy, what you going to be when you grow up? Please let me know asap as it may give me some ideas!

Jen, Drew and Tommy from Michigan, happy to be here in their favourite place, San Pedro.

All the girls, as the shirts say in Belize no shoes no problem.

Family Hoke

Captain Wade came along for the ride and a few beers of course!

Wouldn't be a party without Marilyn Marx.

We all brought a nibble or two as you can see, what a spread it was. Marie's sausage rolls for an absolute hit and gone in seconds especially as Phil had been eating them along the way so not as many made it to the table as she had baked!

Look what I can see in the water, so cool laying here and watching the water world go by.

Man talk I guess, there's Craig hiding behind his glasses.

Yes there may be a little sneaky vodka in that cup, she's a cheeky monkey for sure that one!

Ship ahoy?

A very mellow couple of hours spent with some cool people, another sunset cruise over and out!

It is official we have the best
ceviche and chips on the island says Donald and Glynis
Khus. They should know as they have tried it all over San Pedro for many years now and always favoured somewhere else until I challenged them to try ours. We have been complimented on our chips many times as we make them here and they are very fresh and crunchy.

After their nibble on
ceviche it was onto the Italian spaghetti meatballs which again were a huge hit, so now after seeing this and you all feeling
hungry head over to
Lime for a bite to eat.

Wow Friday night whizzed around again and hit us full on, here we go for another mad one!

Looks who's back in the fold the Hoke family are here again for the week and loving our new look

Time to do some work which is great as felt much better the next day for pouring them rather than drinking them, damn that peach vodka and
Yeager of course.

One of the many Peter's is back with us pictured here with the lovely
Canadian Mark and Michelle minus Jasper!

This young cutie was a typical
Hooray Henry straight from London and loving himself in that pink shirt!

This lovely lady on the left is
Kamela Shadduck who runs
singledivers and brought her fun gang in for their last night in San Pedro.

Well it is Freaky Friday so plenty of silly shots and jello going around as can be demonstrated by this fun group.

For a wee bar we can fit quite a few in at times.

My fault I did tell them to try and be sexy while doing shots

This lovely young man was giving a thank you speech to
Kamala and has promised us a
prompt return to Belize.

It went on for quite some time, I thought I was the only one that chatted a lot!
Their turn for jello

What a cute group they were
Kamala is still laughing about her trip onto the dock and those lovely black eyes!

All divers, finding plenty to talk about of course especially with Peter in the conversation.

The sexy Natasha

Plus the sultry C
assidy!

This lovely lady will kill me with this shot but what the heck eh! The hamster look is in no?

The party gang are now here and complete as Caroline is in the fold!

My good buddy from Michigan state and I, looking like sisters until I go
blonde again.

So it's 8pm and time to do the draw for the Saga Humane Society's 50/50 which we do every
Friday night in Lime. The guest of honour this week is Craig as we are thrilled that he still came out even though his lovely wife Tracey had to rush home to South Africa to be with family. Shout out to Tracey at this point and know that we all love and miss you and wish your dad the best of health!

Shaking them up big time so he
doesn't pull out one he may know as we all have different numbers and colours.

Bless him not one to cheat at all I bet, such a man.

Who's did he pull I wonder?

Would you believe it he pulled out Tracey's, his partner who has never won it so far

Cheers Tracey the drinks are on you!

Um lovely
Yeager not! Why we do it I will never know but luckily JD is away this week so we didn't do too many on this Friday evening thank goodness as the head agreeded the next day.
