Tantalizing Tuesday’s!

No words needed, not even from me mighty mouth! Have a great day ttfn.

Here’s to another week in paradise

I just had to blog this photo and can't remember where I stole it from me but make no apologies as it captures a moment completely.

This is Cherie and Cindy Vigna, mother and daughter having a perfect moment on a recent sunset cruise which was full of friends and family.

This photo to me shows what it is all about and for that moment it was all smiles and everything was good.
Life has it's ups and downs as we all know and I use the saying that things make you stronger and the situations we all deal with day to day are all about how we handle them. Well with the great people we have in our lives and the support they offer we all get through it in the end. Many times there are tears, lost sleep and things seem impossible but as we all know nothing is.

Cherie's trip is nearing an end and as always she will be missed by many people especially Cinders. We all have many visitors here in San Pedro that keep us going and in teabags so please all know you are very welcome anytime as it always puts a smile on our faces. Plus it gives me something new to blog other than drinking and eating in Lime, cheers to one and all and have a great week.

Sunday’s in paradise!

Well if one has to go to work one might as well have a bloody good breakfast to start the day and as the big Lime challenge starts properly tomorrow I thought it might as well be a fantastic last supper!
Sushi Sharon as she is fondly known decided that we should have eggs Benedict on the menu and threw the sauce together in minutes and here is the fab result. It was so naughty but oh so good and worth all the effort it will take to burn it oooffffff the thighs!

Look who popped in to show us how she looks as a princess for a party today with a Disney theme.

Are these just the perfect little slippers to go with her perfect little feet bless her and just like that she was off to party with the best of them.
Happy Sunday to all our friends, family and faithful followers, have a great day and here's to the week ahead cheers from us here in San Pedro, Belize.

Happy Birthday JD round two!

As I promised earlier here are the pictures of JD's birthday revisited, above we have the lovely Betty and Cookie here for two their annual two weeks.

They fell in love with these two local boys and why wouldn't you as not only are they adorable but they are cheeky little monkeys to boot.

Mother and daughter doing a sexy pose and mad at me for not having a picture of them from Wednesday night so here we are trying to make up for it.

Being sensible ready for the night ahead of maybe a drink or two we had the special of the day which was chicken fried rice and not strictly on the Lime diet but what the heck it is Friday!

Ummm
Here we go all decked out yet again! We actually kept the party stuff on from Wednesday as a certain someone didn't see any of it!

Someone has to work while the rest of us do the silly stuff and Monica aka Tracey was being that person.
He he
Good to see these guys in here, the poor man in the middle had a monster of a hangover the next day and came in for Lime and chicken soup to help with the recovery.

Cheers to JD the odd shot or two were drunk in his honour but I made them pace themselves this time.

Robbie is on a mission to sell the most Grand National tickets and never even gave me a chance to ask this lot before he was straight in there.

It must be 8pm and time to draw the 50/50

Who has number 67? It was Amanda who promptly gave the winnings back so 200bz goes into the Friends Of The Humane Society account this week towards our project of building an isolation unit for the clinic. We are nearly at $10,000.00bz so only another $190,000.00 to go!

Now for my favourite part of the evening time for some cake!

Yummy, it was good

Those naughty green shot glasses made another appearance, even though Phil hates them he makes himself suffer for the cause.

Phil and Marie's dog Ella whom we love to pieces, how can you say no to a face like that? I didn't so she was given some chicken and now is my best friend.

What is going on here I hear you ask? Well this shot cost me 50bz to the humane society as I said the shirt that Beth bought JD would never fit him so look for yourselves to see if it did.

Not sure about the scarf but the shirt does look good and fits fine so well done Beth another successful shop!

Cheers to one and all, another great Friday in Lime and a great birthday had by JD, now who is next!

TGIF

It really is Friday all over again, where the heck did this past week go? I guess we can blame JD's birthday bash as that wiped out a couple of days for most people. Saying that we are doing it all over again tonight as he does not remember much about what we did for him here in Lime so check out the photo's that will follow.
For those of you faithful followers out there that have the weekend off or OOOFFFF as Tracey would pronounce it have a good one cheers from all the girls!

Lime’s fish and chip night and JD’s birthday bash!

Here is the lovely Cassidy getting ready for the busy night ahead. We decided to combine the launch of our what is to be regular fish and chip night (french fries to some of you) with JD's surprise birthday bash! So here you can see for yourselves how the night went! Check out the balloons and the shrek poster as that was the theme of the night.

Betty and Cookie, two lovely ladies that we have been hanging out with for a couple of years came kitted out with their parrot hats for the fun night ahead.

The lovely Gwen, new to our humane society group and looking very glam with make-up and a skirt, JD should feel privileged!

My new partner in Crime seeing as Cinders is having a leave of absence, Tracey and I have started the Lime challenge which will be blogged about in a couple of days but for now take this as out before photo!

Not to be outdone, I had my hat ready and waiting behind the bar.

They do not need alcohol to be a load of fun but these two are game for anything and great to have at a party.

Cassidy is happy she assures me she just goes for the sultry look in photo's.

I have no idea what Paul and Robbie were doing but they are having a whole lorra fun doing it!

My lovely friend Helda who is going to join the Lime challenge and says she will win the biggest loser is the biggest winner award of 1000bz vouchers for Moondancer!

Are they just the cutest newest couple in San Pedro or what? I get a babysit for the lovely Isobella now on the odd night so that works for me.

Umm
Something tickled Marie's fancy and Phil was no-where to be found!

Ooh here he is tickling taco boy aka Paul

A buzzing bar waiting for the guest of honour now that a lot of them have eaten they remember the other reason for the night out.

Here she is our little princess

Another lovely couple Dana and Grant not new but still in love after many years bless.

If you were hungry before you saw this you will be even more so now and it was absolutely fantastic said all of our guests which a lot were British so they should know!

Everyone tucking in

Here he is the guest of honour finally after his first party of the day up at Reef Village!

I think he may of had one or two already

His lovely wife and our cook of English specials Maureen Dalgarno aka Madame looking very blonde and breezy this evening.

This seemed to be the British corner and they were all very happy after some good old British food! Well we are not known to be the best cooks in the world but what beats fish and chips and malt vinegar?
This was JD's first cake of the evening and there was plenty of that one left before we even got ours out!
Here we go with our Shrek cake which was the theme of the evening thanks to Marie of Ghecko Graphics who outdid herself this time with not only great posters but badges too, cheers buddy.

I always have enough hot air to help out, I should be a great dive buddy one day eh!

Ut oh wifey to the left of the picture doesn't look too happy at this point, night night Maureen!

JD's partner in crime aka Pedro has to come to Lime now and again to find his playmate now.

The girls from Reef Village came to add some glamour to the evening.

Jock always a happy boy when surrounded by beautiful women and beer!

Not Paul's turn to be worse for wear, this was the end of a great night with good food, drinks and people. Happy Birthday John Dalgarno aka JD please make sure you are around for many more to come as we love you and paid a fortune for the posters! Cheers and ttfn from the Limey's!

Beautiful days in Belize!

I know people think that those of us lucky enough to live here in paradise have it easy but believe me we have the same problems as everyone else, just in the sun.
I am blessed that I can start each day off on the right foot with a beautiful walk along our beaches with my trusted buddies that never argue back at me and just want to eat, play and have fun! Sounds like a great plan for a happy life eh but us humans have to throw a few problems into the mix along the way.

For those that follow this blog and know my buddies Jackie and Lisbon this shot captures them in the mornings pouncing and playing with each other, winding each other up then everything is cool and back to normal. I think we as humans should watch animals and go back to the basics of the simple things in life and keep it much calmer. (photos thanks to my friend michell Scott)

This is a great shot of the beautiful Canadian Cindy of Island perk taken at a recent fundraiser in Central Park. It was a cake stall (another one of my favourite things) for the San Pedro Humane Society of which we are all very passionate about. She was wearing the cat bed that was donated by Sew What which was raffled off and made lots of money, the picture captures the feelings of the night even in the rain we were all doing something constructive together and having fun!

I absolutely love this shot as it is a crowd of some of my closest friends here on the island being themselves but again having fun at the same time. The lady at the front right is our resident vet laurie Droke who we are blessed to have here in San Pedro.
As can be seen modeled by Beth with her Friends Of The Humane Society T-shirt we have set up an unbelievable group of volunteers that want to help both physically and financially to greatly improve the facilities for our animals here in San Pedro Belize.
We have plans for events monthly throughout the year and welcome any help that can be given and ideas too. Our email address is fothsbelize@gmail.com and if you would like to be on the mailing list then let me know asap and you will receive regular emails and updates from this group. Along with Saga Humane Society we are helping our pets one step at a time, thank you in advance for anything you can do however large or small it all counts and the wee furry ones here in San Pedro are very grateful to you, cheers and TTFN.

Friday nights and the 50/50

There go those naughty green shot glasses again which I thought were to be put away till next St paddy's day! Not when JD is around I guess, anyhow this crowd popped in to see Cassidy on Friday night and hung out for a while.

Some cheeky boys from the island that I have passed many times but not had the chance to chat until now.
Tropic air pilots made it their stop after a busy week flying those puddle jumpers.

Well you have to let a couple of Canadians in eh? Michelle and Mark still smiling and plotting Coconut Drive!

Assir from that place of work JD and I used to be at came to see what he had been hearing about and had a couple of shots with the big man!

Someone must have put Abba on the stereo as I can't imagine why we would be dancing otherwise, got to love that satellite radio station.

The 50/50 didn't get pulled until the next morning but for those of you out there that read the blog it will be drawn in Lime on a Friday night at 8pm as it is a nightmare trying to get out before then and get to Pedro's even though we crave pizza. Here we have the lovely Gwen a new member to the humane society and Flynt the owner of Lime doing the draw.
As you can see the winner this week was the lovely Isobel who won 80bz , so please stop by Lime and get your 5bz in for next week as you have to be in it to win it, ttfn.

The morning after the night before!

It has taken us a few days to recover from St Patrick's day and to feel semi-normal again and have the energy and inclination to post so here are a couple of shots of Wednesday morning the 18th March! Poor Charlie our very good friend is now totally knackered from hanging around with his angels and has declared himself a no party zone for at least a week, we haven't seen him since this picture was taken.

Tracey trying to get together with one of Sharon's fantastic smootie as she calls them, it was full of cranberries but even that did very little.

I look like I am in the jungle and probably wish I was.

Karen our cook was totally beat also and couldn't believe that she had to drag herself in and cook for people!

This was for sure the best hangover cure of all, after Sharon's fabbo smootie she made us her Irish chips for lunch with that secret sauce and boy did we feel better after some of those. So good in fact that the party started all over on Friday but that is another post to come, ttfn.

The St Paddy’s day party in San Pedro!

This post is starting off backwards as this shot just shows you what a great day it was and what fun people we have working at Lime tour center and Lime bar and grill!

What can I say about Tuesday except it all started off on the right foot with a sensible breakfast of stuffed fry jacks with ham and cheese to line the stomach.

A few balloons were needed and thanks to Diane from quick silver in getting those for me to highlight the party ahead.

These pair were kitted out for the day and are so photogenic we need them in here for all future events. her necklace flashed like a Christmas tree and she for sure added sparkle to the place.

Another good person who had a flashing Yager necklace, where do people get this fab stuff?

Their turn to be on the other side of the camera for once and why not as they are all so super cute and so much fun to be around.

Having never eaten here before lunch was on us, well they might write nice things about us and the food so a bit of bribery is ok right?

They were being taught how to do Irish dancing from the expert, this lovely man called Tommy bought the first raffle ticket of the day for the humane society and won it! The next day when we told him of this he promptly gave it back again to re-raffle which was super lovely of him therefore there is still a green Ipod amongst lots of other goodies to be won for a 10bz ticket!

Here we have one of Canadian Sharon's Slime punch which was super cool but beware as it is a naughty little number that catches you out when you least expect it, believe me I had the mother of headaches the next day to prove it.

Ok maybe it was Cindy's melon jello shots that helped with the sore head as they were also very naughty!

These girls are so cute that they should never be behind the camera but in all of the pictures!

Ok these girls are pretty cute also and make up the great team of ladies working at Lime right now both in the tour center and bar and grill.

This was one of the few things that didn't have alcohol in it and was green pineapple to go with the cheese for tonight's do.

Cherie Vigna popped in with Molly to see what we were all up to and chill out and cool down for a minute in peace and quiet, why she came to Lime for that who knows!

The cook of the Irish stew which went down very well indeed, she made enough for us to serve about 25 people. Maureen Dalgarno or Madame to people that know her makes our English specials once a week which we serve on a Wednesday. So far we have had cottage pie, steak and ale pie, chicken and mushroom pie and curry-not so English, any requests that can be met are welcome.

This was Seamus and his lovely wife which hung out with us a couple of times, it was great to meet you, please stay in touch via the blog on www.limetours.com.

The evening kicked off just after 5pm and once it started it never let up till about 12pm. The adverts and flyer's which were so cool thanks to Ghecko graphics stated open from breakfast till 9pm, little did Marie know what party animals we were all to become, I blame those green drinks again.
Mark and Paul talking technical stuff, boy talk for sure while the girls were all going green.

Not only is it St Patrick's day but she is pregnant also so more than allowed a Guinness or two, she won a t-shirt in our raffle which she may want to pick up in a couple of months unless her name is Demi.
Uniting the nations, there are two Sharon's on the island and here you have them both!

Three very generous and wonderful animal people living the dream in San Pedro, Belize.

Aida and friends tasting our home made salsa and nibbles that kept coming out of that wee kitchen.
Michelle and Jeff, a skydiver that came and won't leave, we are happy about that as he brings a smile to many peoples faces and is always popping in to see the girls at Lime.

This young couple just got married a couple of weeks ago, Mario and his lovely wife that work at Reef Village and need more than one day for their honeymoon JD!

D and E's and Tropic are putting the world to rights.

Even the camera was getting tired at this point and went a bit blurred or is it the person using it.

Irish cheesy chips were a total hit with Sharon's secret sauce which may have to be added to the new menu.
Helda and Tracey did a stella job in selling raffle tickets, notice where she was putting the money, I guess there is a bit of room for more money especially as it is for the animals!

Jewels from Sweet Basil came to add some glamour to the whole evening and brought their Irish music to help us really get in the swing of things, think those green drinks already did that!

Taking money of people is always serious stuff which I should know after being in sales for six years,. Check out Robbie behind me seeing how it is done as he is doing a Grand national fundraiser for the humane society and has put up a prize for the best sales person. Little does he know how incentivised I am when there is a bet and prize at stake!

Um Cinders at this point possibly doesn't remember this shot bless her.

I however at this point still do but I didn't start the jello shots as early as some so still have a couple of hours left in me.

There was certainly some life at this bar tonight as always and the bar seems to appeal to people for dancing, we will be doing it on the bar next! This looks like a usual Friday night just more green.

Here she is the lovely Cassidy as promised in an earlier post.

Our lovely cook Karen with her husband letting their hair down for a change and being the princess that she truely is.

Someone else having hair issues, cheers to Grant all was soon reorganised.

Tracey who wouldn't come and work at Lime as a bar person but did to run the tour side looking at home there after all, the green slime gets the blame again!

It was the first night of many future events and a great way to launch Lime as the new spot in San Pedro where everyone knows your name and if they don't they soon will cheers to everyone and see you there soon!
